How much does it all cost?
I'll give you a quote for a specific job, but here are some examples of rates for your guidance.  These rates are for UK-based clients to whom VAT is charged in addition.  If you are based outside the UK, please ask for a quote.  All prices in GB pounds Sterling. Convert to other currencies at today's rates (as a guide only).
brian and sqn mixer
Lighting cameraman with broadcast-quality Sony PMW-500 XDCAM EX or Sony DSR-450 DVCAM camera, lenses, tripod, batteries, lights, microphones, location monitor and vehicle.  £450 per 10 hour day from Brighton base, and £45 an hour thereafter.
Sound recordist - without whom, etc etc
I work with a number of skilled and experienced sound recordists.  To give you maximum budgeting flexibility, the recordist will invoice independently but depending on the job and location may well travel with me, meaning only one mileage charge.  Please ask for details.
Car travel is 45p a mile, although I won't charge if the shoot is at one location in the BN1, BN2 or BN3 postcodes.  Card/tape stock, road/tunnel/bridge tolls and congestion charges, car parking, meals, accommodation, any other reasonable expenses are charged extra, as is value added tax (VAT).
Extra equipment
Grips equipment, smaller cameras and some other bits and pieces are charged extra.  Let's talk about your requirements.
